The unusual foliage of this Alocasia is broad at the base and narrows to a slim "tail" at the tip making the overall leaf shape resemble that of a Stingray. That’s not to discount the gorgeous mottled pattern on the stem. The combination makes a striking feature in any plant community. Stunning as a stand-alone for a tablescape. It can get up to 5 feet tall outdoors in warm climates and stays smaller as a houseplant. It is native to the islands of Brunei near the South China Sea and is known for its rugged, dense rainforest.
